We ’ve known it was coming for months , but the Acer Iconia Tab A110 ultimately has a due engagement and a pricetag . It ’s going on sale October 30th , and it ’ll only cost you $ 230 . That redact it squarely in Nexus 7 territory .
But what does that surplus $ 30 get you ? Well , more . And less .
The Iconia Tab and Nexus 7 both feature Nvidia ’s musculus quadriceps femoris - core group Tegra 3 processor , both have 8 GB of built in storage , and both go the latest reading of Android ( Jelly Bean , a.k.a . Android 4.1 ) . The Iconia has some very prissy feature that the Nexus 7 lacks , however , most notably , a Micro SD card slot so you could hike up the gadget ’s memory board capacity an additional 32 gig . It also has a micro HDMI interface , so you’re able to watch your pic / play your game on a full - sized TV . Very squeamish .

The big disadvantage is the screen . The seven - inch Iconia Tab A110 only has a solvent of 1024 x 600 which work for a rather paltry pixel denseness of 170 PPI . The Nexus 7 crams 800 x 1280 pixels into those same seven inches , bringing the pixel density up to 216 PPI . debate that indication and watching video are likely to be the master thing you do with a tablet this size , that might just be a peck - breakers . The Nexus is also about 1.75 Panthera uncia lighter than the Iconia , and it ’s a scrap thinner , too .
What do ye say ? Are the tradeoffs a good swap ? Are you still think Nexus , or does the Iconia Tab A110 gain out ? [ Acer ]
