Anna PaquinandStephen Moyerare sharing the key to making their marriage work.
“Well I can say Anna doesn’t look like this every day. I’m very happy,” Moyer tells PEOPLE. “This is a date night for us.”
“Back in the day, when we were doing these events, and we’d get all dressed up and go and do these things … we would then go in all of our glam gear and go to an all-night diner after … we’d be very happy,” he adds,

The actress, who wore a black shimmery dress, black boots andcarried a cane for assistanceduring the premiere, shared that they enjoyed red carpet events because it wasn’t every day that their hair and makeup squad waved their “glamorous wands” to make them look good.
She tells PEOPLE, “I would love to say that I look like this all the time, but no, I don’t.”
When asked about their key to a successful marriage, the couple who met and fell in love on the set ofTrue Blood, revealed to PEOPLE that they didn’t have any secrets to impart.
“I feel like liking each other helps you along the way,” Moyer jokes.

“Also we like what we do,” Paquin adds. “And we met doing the thing that we like, so interspersing our work lives wasn’t ever going to be a weird thing because that’s [how] we met.”
They went on to say that because they “knew exactly what the situation was” working together and got to know each other well before walking down the aisle in 2010, it was easy to adjust their lives accordingly.
“He knew exactly who I was for better or worse,” theX-Menstar shares.
“And I came with a lot of baggage and Anna took that on too,” theSexy Beastactor tells her, to which she responds, “Not baggage. You have beautiful children.”
Moyer has been helping Paquin as well, as she tackles anundisclosed health issuethat has left her with mobility issues and difficulties with her speech. The actress noted that dealing with the issue “hasn’t been easy.” A source clarified to PEOPLE that Paquin will hopefully make a full recovery.
