Once Finch has Jacobs ’ earphone rooted , he experience clearly that there ’s a plot of land against her . She ’s light upon that somebody in the company is sending encrypted files to who - know - where . But then as Finch watches helplessly , an evil hacker fills Jacobs ’ telephone set up with fake call , emails , and appointments that frame up her for sending the files . Now she ’s really in danger , because probably whoever draw up her is lead to adjudicate to defeat her .

But how is the Machine doing ? Well , Finch has figured out the encrypted email nonsense at Rylatech is tie to a virus that was plan particularly for the auto . Does that mean Chinese hackers are taste to gain admittance to the Machine ? Maybe not , since there ’s a very white , very British - sounding dude who forces Jacobs ’ boss to shoot himself when the gig is up .
OK whatever because Shaw has infract into Finch ’s library / hackerspace in the middle of the episode and she ’s sort of kind of willing to maybe work with Finch and Reese now . particularly because Finch hack into the CIA ’s computer and leaked information to the press about how her partner was actually a hero .
