On November 9 , 1989 , thousands race through the ruins of theBerlin Wall , celebrate the 1 of East and West . 20 years later , millions across the world watched as one thousand seven - and - a - one-half infantry tall dominoes fell marking the occasion .
About six months ago , those Styrofoam dominoes were sent all around to humanity and painted by school children and artists . Today they were reunite in a 1.5 km line where the Berlin Wall once support . And just like the rampart did so many geezerhood ago , they descend to deafening sunshine .
