A disturbing number of news has bubbled up in Central Florida , where an 80,000 - twelvemonth - old mastodon skeleton has gone missing from the shed where it had been put in for over 20 years.CFNews13.com reports :
metropolis workers stumbled upon the skeletal frame in 1989 during building for a water discussion flora off what was then 11th Street , now LPGA Boulevard . The remains were thought to be stored inside a shed at Holly Hill ’s Public Works adroitness .
But when urban center officials lately check off the shed , the bone were gone .

“ They just evidently disappeared , ” David Rowe , general manager for the Holly Hill Museum and Cultural Center , told the News - Journal .
Apparently it was n’t until now that a local museum decided to put the bones on showing , which is when they realized that the mastodont remains were exit . OK , first of all , why was this mastodon skeleton being store in a public full treatment shed ? And second , what could possibly have find to them ? My dead reckoning is that somebody make them up to make mastodon broth . I intend , would n’t you ?
