Days after revealing that she hadsuffered a miscarriage,Hilaria Baldwinposted an uplifting message on Instagram, saying that she was focusing on “joyful moments.”
On Friday, Hilaria, 35, shared a sweet throwback photo of herself with two of her kids,Rafael Thomas, 3½, and daughterCarmen Gabriela, 5½. She shares both children withhusband Alec Baldwin, 61; the couple also shares sonsRomeo Alejandro David, 10 months, andLeonardo Ángel Charles, 2½.
“When I get sad, I like to remind myself that sadness passes like a season,” Hilaria continued. “I like to look at my blessings, my happiness, and always remembering that I have so many more good times to look forward to. It is a balance of sitting with grief, as we don’t want to shove it away and not address it…but also not let it cloud how wonderful life is.”
“There was no heartbeat today at my scan … so it’s over … ” shecaptioned the post, which featured a photo with her family. “But I have some pretty strong and amazing heartbeats right here.”
Last Thursday, Hilaria firstsaid she was “most likely experiencing a miscarriage”on Instagram, confessing that the “chances are very, very small that this is a viable pregnancy.” Her announcement was sharedalong with a mirror selfiethat showed her hand placed on her stomach.
“I want to share with you that I am most likely experiencing a miscarriage,” she wrote. “I always promised myself thatif I were to get pregnant again, I would share the news with you guys pretty early, even if that means suffering a public loss. I have always been so open with you all about my family, fitness, pregnancies … and I don’t want to keep this from you, just because it isn’t as positive and shiny as the rest.”
The next day, she sharedanother emotional post, assuring her fans and followers that she has “perspective to understand sadness and loss in the grand scheme of things.”
“Emotionally I am processing it all,” Hilariawrote on Instagram. “Being able to be open with you has been extremely healing. I was very nervous to share, and am so relieved that it was received with such love.”
Thanking her followers for “making my world a brighter place,” Hilaria said, “I don’t know about you, but I find it extremely comfortingto know that I am not aloneon this difficult journey.”
