Jenna Bush Hageris explaining why her wedding ring has been absent recently.
On the latest episode ofToday with Jenna & Friends, Bush Hager, 43, addressed online speculation and revealed that “a bad wedding ring situation” is the real reason she’s not wearing her wedding ring, not any marriage woes.

This dilemma appears to have sparked her memory of another unfortunate ring incident, as she reflected upon how partying too hard led to her losing her husbandHenry Chase Hager’s grandmother’s sapphire.
“OnceSavannah Guthriehad a 50th birthday and sometimes for my best friends’ birthdays, I feel like I really have to give it my all. I gave it my all,” Bush Hager said. “One of the last people standing.”
While her husband, 46, was getting “kind of grumpy” and left the 2022 celebration early, Bush Hager stayed back and continued to go all out — a decision she partially regrets.
“He went to bed a little earlier, sort of like, ‘Aren’t you coming with me?’ and I’m like, ‘No, I’m not coming with you!’ I woke up the next morning, I look down at my engagement ring and one of the stones was gone,” themother of threerecalled.

Bush Hager wasn’t sure how to break the bad news.
“I was already a little bit on thin ice from my wild behavior,” she said. “So I looked down and I’m like, ‘Oh no, do I tell him this now or do I wait?’ I went ahead and said, ‘Honey, you know, I know I lost a little bit of dignity last night. I also lost your grandmother’s sapphire.' "
Luckily, he was “okay” about the situation despite the sapphire never being found.
“He’s a tolerant person,” Bush Hager said. “My mom calls him a ‘saint,’ which is really just saying that I’m difficult to be with. But anyway, I never found it again.”
In September 2024,Bush Hager recalled her jewelry mishaptoHoda Kotb.
“I also had this panic like, ‘Do I tell Henry now, right when I wake up? Or do I tell him after maybe he’s had some food.’ I just said, you gotta tell him right away. And he was a little grumpy,” she said at the time onToday with Hoda and Jenna.
Bush Hagertied the knotwith her husband on May 10, 2008, at her family’s lakeside ranch in Crawford, Texas. Over the years, the couple have welcomedthree childrentogether: Mila, 11; Poppy, 9; and Hal, 5.
