Many fans ofLindsay Lohanwould love to see her return to music — and one of them isKelly Clarkson!

During an appearance onThe Kelly Clarkson ShowalongsideAyesha Currythis week to promote theirnew Netflix filmIrish Wish, Clarkson asked Lohan if she’d ever make more music.

“Uh, I don’t know,” said theMean Girlsactress, 37, with a laugh.

Clarkson, 41, whose second albumBreakawaycame out in 2004, the same year Lohan released her debut albumSpeak, responded with encouragement. “I feel like we were at the same time in a certain part of our career, so I was like, ‘Oh man… I wonder if she’s gonna come out with more music.’ Anyway, you should,” said theAmerican Idolalum.

“Thank you. Appreciate that,” said Lohan, who later added of her sisterAliana, “But my sister’s singing, so I’m supporting her right now.”

She released a follow-up album in 2005,A Little More Personal (Raw), which spawned aBillboardHot 100 hit single with the vulnerable ballad “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father).”

Throughout theIrish Wishpress cycle, she’s spoken multiple times about the idea of returning to music and recently gaveEntertainment Tonighta slightly more optimistic answer: “We’ll see. You never know.”

“I think if I did, it would be doing a song with my sister, ‘cause that’s the path she’s on, and I want to support that,” said Lindsay of Aliana, 30, who released the single “Without You” in 2022 and covered “Jingle Bells” for theFalling for Christmassoundtrack. “So, I think maybe we could do something together, and that’s where it would happen.”

Elsewhere in theETinterview, Lindsay reacted to learning the 20th anniversary of “Rumors” and its music video are approaching in September. “No way,” she said. “That’s wild.”
