News of theCreed IIIactor’s accident came just hours afterWill Smithannounced that the sequel to his 2007 blockbusterI Am Legend, which is set to star Jordan, is making progress.

“The script just came in,” Smith, 55, shared at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia. “We’re really close.”

He added that the film, whichhe and Jordan are set to co-produce, is going to follow “the mythology of the DVD version” of the first film’s storyline, where his character lived instead of dying, as he did in the theatrical version.

“I can’t tell you anymore,” Smith said. “But Michael B. Jordan is in, and we’re doing it.”
